The free AI activity reviewer for the Common App.

Paste your activity list, create a free Kolly account, and your first review runs against Kolly, in about a minute. Kolly was calibrated against thousands of accepted activity lists from students who got into Stanford, Harvard, MIT, Penn, Yale and the rest of the top tier. One real review on us, no credit card.

What you get on your first review.

Scores across impact, specificity, voice, and writing for each entry. The single weakest entry, named precisely, with a voice-preserving rewrite that leads with outcomes. Upgrade for unlimited re-reviews and the same coverage on essays, honors, and recommender requests.

    What each dimension means.

    • Impact. Does this entry signal something a reader cares about? Numbers, outcomes, scope. The fix is almost always to lead with the result, not the duty.
    • Specificity. How concrete the role is. "Volunteer" does nothing. "Built a tutoring pipeline that served 47 students across 3 high schools" does.
    • Voice. Whether the entry sounds like a real teenager wrote it. The Common App rewards specificity over polish; entries that read like resume bullets actively hurt.
    • Writing. Tight, readable, no padding. 150 characters is brutal; every word has to be load-bearing.

Why a Kolly read beats a ChatGPT read.

ChatGPT will make any activity entry sound impressive. That is not what an admissions officer is looking for. Kolly was calibrated against thousands of activity lists from students admitted to Stanford, Harvard, MIT, Penn, Yale, and the rest of the top tier. It tells you which entries are pulling their weight and which are doing nothing, the same way an admissions reader would.
